Production: Our chaga pieces are harvested with sustainable practices in the wild and remote forests of Eastern Canada. This means that care is taken not to damage or puncture the bark of the birch trees which host the fungi, as well as 30% of the chaga is left unharvested, to insure the renewal and growth of the mushroom and continued health of ecosystem that it is a part of.

Common Use: Chaga has been in use as a medicine traditionally by indigenous peoples in Russia, Europe, Asia, and North America. The most common method of consuming Chaga mushroom is to make a tea. The tea can be prepared by simmering the mushroom in water for one hour or more, a crock pot works great. The pieces can also be reused, until they stop coloring the tea water with the dark brown color. The mild tasting tea can then be consumed on it's own, or as a base for other teas, coffees and even soups. Chaga can also be tinctured in alcohol.

Chaga chunks
I grind the chunks into smaller pieces, make a tea and use it for when I’m starting to feel a little bit sick to boost my immunity after I brew the tea I add a little splash of it to my coffee in the morning.

I grind them up and put them in my coffee. I sprinkle some on the dogs’ food as well. I plan on making some tea with them. They are great in the coffee though.

Well cleaned, ready to use. 2 ozs steeped for 30 minutes or so will yield a liter of tea or so and the chunks can be reused 3-4 times. Just them them dry off after use and store in the cupboard.. Drink sparingly maybe a cup every other day. Has a nice earthy rich flavor hot or cold.
