Wonderful product
I put Kombu seaweed in soup, and sometimes drink it as a tea. I am low in iron and have hypothyroidism, so this product is excellent for these!
Works well and tastes good
I rinsed, soaked, then sliced it into little strips to put into a bean soup to simmer. It added a nice thickness to the soup. It tastes well together. The kombu was not as dry as the ones from Japan or Korea, so i will try to dehydrate it some more or store it in the fridge or freezer. Will purchase again.
Great Addition to Soups and Broths
I put a few pieces of kombu in the stockpot when I make a batch of bone broth, and I use it along with dried shitaki and/or other dried mushrooms, soaked overnight in a bowl of water to make dashi for miso soup. I also tend to put a piece in every kind of soup or broth I make.
Organic Kombu, whole
I keep this product on hand for any plant-based recipes that call for the addition of kombu. I’m very happy with this product and I’m looking forward to ordering more products from Organic Matters.
